Make sure that you eat regularly to prevent fluctuations in blood sugar level and have at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night! Sleep withdrawal can cause symptoms of anxiety.

Avoid drinks like coffee, tea (except herbal teas), sugary foods, chocolate or carbonated drinks, especially the cola variety. People who feel anxiety, who are at greater risk for habit, should never consume alcohol and most recreational drugs. These stuffs can also worsen the anxiety indicators.

Set aside at least 15 minutes twice a day to sit in a quiet location, close your eyes and do deep breathing. Listen to soothing music or a relaxation tape or CD.
